Course Description:
Welcome to Introduction to Robotics for 1st-4th grade! This course is designed for young innovators eager to dive into the exciting world of robotics. It is a hands-on STEM experience for young creators. Our FIRST LEGO League Explore class gives young builders the perfect blend of engineering, creativity, and real‑world exploration. Students alternate each week between two exciting focuses:

Build & Program Week:
Students work with LEGO robotics kits to design, build, and program simple moving models. They learn the foundations of engineering—gears, sensors, structure, and coding—through guided challenges that grow their confidence and problem‑solving skills. Each session encourages teamwork, experimentation, and the joy of seeing their ideas come to life.

Theme Discovery Week:
On alternating weeks, students dive into the current FIRST LEGO League season theme. Through hands‑on activities, mini‑projects, and guided discussions, they explore real‑world concepts connected to the challenge. Whether the theme involves archaeology, transportation, energy, or the natural world, students learn how STEM shapes the world around them and how their own ideas can make an impact.

What Students Gain:

  • A strong foundation in engineering and early robotics
  • Age‑appropriate programming skills
  • Creative confidence and teamwork experience
  • Understanding of real‑world STEM topics through the season theme
