Crystall Dalton

Mrs. Crystall Dalton holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Family and Child Counseling from North Carolina State University. With more than 20 years of experience in private schools and local homeschool co-ops, she has dedicated her career to nurturing students’ curiosity and encouraging them to think creatively and think outside the box.

She has had the privilege of teaching students using the Reggio Emilia Approach and Project-Based Learning methodologies before beginning the journey of homeschooling her own children. Currently, Mrs. Dalton teaches robotics at three local homeschool co-ops and has coached FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics teams for more than 15 years.

FIRST is a world-class program that goes far beyond robotics, inspiring students to pursue their passions while developing both personal and technical skills. Her high school FIRST Tech Challenge team, ThunderBolts in Disguise (TBD), has advanced to the State Championship every year and is now heading to the World Championship. In addition, she coaches six FIRST Lego League teams, two of which are advancing to the State Championship. Her original FIRST Lego League team, Thunderbolts, reached the World Championship twice during their middle school years.

Mrs. Dalton is passionate about guiding students through the exciting world of robotics and looks forward to continuing this journey with more eager young minds.
