The Philippians Project

THE PHILIPPIANS PROJECT

We felt the Lord’s calling to homeschool our four children in 2010. At the time, we didn’t know how we would accomplish this or what we were going to do, but we trusted the Lord’s guidance in this direction as we humbly raised our children for His glory. Since that time, our family has experienced a job loss, cancer and major medical bills, Covid pay cuts and a reduced income. As a family who only has one source of income because I have stayed at home to raise and educate our children, these events were crippling financially. But. We serve a mighty God! In times when we didn’t know how we were going to pay for anything, the Lord stepped in in mighty ways to cover every need we had. It may not seem like a necessity, but our children found precious friends and a rich academic environment at the homeschool programs they were in when all of these events occurred. I wholeheartedly understand what it is like to desire for your child to attend a co-op or program to aide in your homeschooling goal and not be able to afford it at all. We were blessed by the Lord with financial help for our children to attend home school classes when we were financially not able to afford them. I cannot express the humbling feeling of receiving such a gift and the indescribable joy it brought to know that our children would be able to continue down the homeschool path that the Lord called us to. He made a way for us every time.

During those hard times, especially when my husband had cancer, I would read Philippians chapter 4 every day several times, especially at night to help me sleep. Rejoicing in the Lord, not being anxious about anything, giving all my heartaches to the Lord with thanksgiving, receiving peace that would calm my mind and my heart were all things I needed the Lord’s help with. He met me where I was at and soothed my overwhelmed heart. He is such a good, good Father. At the end of the chapter, verse 19 states, “And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in Christ Jesus.” At a time when I also didn’t know how things would get paid, I could rest knowing I had a Father that I could trust to supply our needs.

The Philippians Project was born out of this passage.

In a world that is full of hardship right now, it is my desire for PHC to help local home school families continue to homeschool at a time when they may not know how the Lord is going to provide.

The Philippians Project will be giving scholarships to meet this need.

This homeschool scholarship fund has been founded to help families pay tuition for the core classes they need for their students in a time of hardship.

The Philippians Project is specific to PHC and will be used to pay tuition for a child to attend any core class at PHC

This incredible Project will be funded by the generous giving of God’s people and by fundraising events when possible. 100% of every dollar given will go straight to this scholarship fund.

If you are a homeschool family in the depths of hardship right now, God sees you. He loves you so much and He is so faithful. This season will not last forever. You will find, as you look back years down the road, how He wove everything together for good, met every need and never left your side. Praise Him through it all and wholeheartedly trust Him.

With Love and Thanks,

Jennifer Morgan
