Course Description:
Does your student love animals or dream of a future in veterinary medicine? Intro to Animal Science is the perfect course to explore the fascinating world of animals while building a strong foundation in animal science.
Students will learn about animal anatomy and physiology, health and wellness, nutrition, behavior, genetics, breeds, and responsible animal care. Throughout the course, they will discover how these concepts apply to a variety of companion animals, livestock, and wildlife while gaining a greater appreciation for God’s incredible creation.
This course also introduces students to careers in veterinary medicine, animal science, wildlife conservation, zoology, and other animal-related fields, making it an excellent option for students considering a future in these professions or those who simply have a passion for animals.
The curriculum was created exclusively for PHC by an experienced Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) with more than 25 years of professional experience, giving students the opportunity to learn from real-world veterinary knowledge and experience.
