Ben Tarver

Mr. Tarver is a college student who is passionate about mechanical systems, drones, and videography. He has three years of experience on a high school FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition through Science and Technology) Tech Challenge robotics team, approximately eight years of experience flying drones, and one year as a certified Part 107 Pilot. He has also been recording videos for about six years and has developed extensive experience creating YouTube videos both personally and for his robotics teams. Ben has always been fascinated by how things work and enjoys hands-on learning opportunities, especially disassembling and studying mechanical systems.

He grew up participating in and leading a local Trail Life troop, where he developed an appreciation for the outdoors. In addition, he has served on the Technical Arts Team at Bay Area Church for more than four years, gaining experience in lighting, cameras, media, and audio production. Over the past three years, Mr. Tarver has also developed a passion for teaching and sharing his knowledge through classes such as Drones and Cinematography, Combat Robotics, Mechanical Design, Photography, Digital Art and Design, and CAD and 3D Printing. He looks forward to the opportunity to share his passion for STEM with a new group of students.
