Course Description:

This course introduces students to the world of photography and digital image editing using Adobe Photoshop. Through hands-on assignments, discussions, and creative projects, students will learn how to capture compelling images, understand the principles of photography, and enhance their photos through professional editing techniques.

Collaboration is a key component of this course—students will communicate and showcase their work via Discord, participate in peer critiques, and work together on creative projects.

By the end of this course, students will have built a personal photography portfolio and gained confidence in both photographic storytelling and post-processing.

Course Synopsis:

This curriculum is designed to provide a structured, yet engaging approach to mastering photography fundamentals and Photoshop skills.

🔹 Part 1: Photography Essentials
Students will dive into camera basics, composition techniques, lighting, and manual controls. Weekly photography challenges will encourage hands-on practice.

🔹 Part 2: Adobe Photoshop Fundamentals
Students will explore digital editing, color correction, retouching, and advanced photo manipulation techniques. Collaborative editing projects will enhance teamwork skills.

🔹 Final Project & Showcase
Students will curate and present their best works in a Final Photography & Editing Portfolio, participating in a virtual critique and showcase event.
