Amy Smith

Amy Smith is a family photographer and ministry leader who loves capturing honest, emotive moments that tell a story. She is especially drawn to the way light shapes a photograph and how direct light, deep shadows, and the space between them create depth, drama, and interest. She’s not afraid to play with bold light or embrace imperfect moments, because she believes photography is one of the most timeless forms of storytelling we have. The images created today will outlive us, carrying our stories forward for generations.

Owning her own photography business has allowed Amy to grow from hobbyist to artist to mentor. She loves that the photography world is always shifting, keeping her a lifelong student of the craft. New techniques, new tools, new ways of seeing. This constant growth fuels her creativity. And while she is mentoring and teaching others, she remains just as committed to learning, making sure she brings fresh skills and ideas to the students she leads.

With a strong background in ministry, Amy is committed to weaving faith into the creative process. She loves equipping others with the skills to create with excellence and helping them discover the unique gifts God has given them, while encouraging them to use those gifts to glorify Him at every age.

Amy has been married to her husband, Jason, for 30 years, and together they have raised three amazing kids who are now grown. She is also “Lovie” to two sweet grandbabies, who are the brightest part of her day.
