Tammy Moore

About

Hi I’m Tammy Moore. My husband and I started officially homeschooling 25 years ago in 2000 when our daughter was 4. She graduated in 2014 and is currently a “sent one” in the Middle East. Our family loves Home Education and the homeschool world, and my husband and I are excited to be connected back in through PHC! In the early 2000’s when homeschooling was not as popular, we were blessed to find a few families who were also homeschooling and together we formed a co-op and support group that we eventually named Gulf Coast Christian Home Scholars. I also organized a few other groups for the homeschool community including Theater classes taught by the AD Players, GCCHS Student Council, and the first GCCHS graduation ceremony in 2014. Our daughter, Alexis, and I also began a homeschool dance company in 2011 called Exult Dance that ran for 10 years.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from UHCL. I fell in love with cultural geography when I taught it to my daughter her sophomore year of high school! I also have a passion for missions and a heart for missionaries and the people groups they serve. I love learning and practicing the Biblical feasts such as Passover and The Feast of Tabernacles, but my favorite thing is being a Nine (nee-nay)-my Turkish Grandma name-to our 3 year old grandaughter Lilie.
