Course Description:
Students Get ready to mix, measure, and make something delicious! Introduction to Baking & Decorating Grades 4 – 6 is a fun, hands-on class
designed to spark creativity and build confidence in young bakers.
In this course, kids will learn the basics of baking in a safe and supportive environment. From measuring ingredients and mixing batter
to understanding how ovens and other kitchen tools work, students will create tasty treats like cookies, cupcakes, and simple cakes.
The fun doesn’t stop at baking—kids will also explore decorating! They’ll learn how to frost cupcakes, use piping bags, add colorful
toppings, and turn their creations into edible works of art.
Throughout the class, students will:
- Practice basic kitchen skills and safety
- Follow simple recipes step by step
- Build creativity through decorating activities
- Gain confidence while having fun
By the end of the course, each child will take home their delicious creations and the skills to keep baking at home!
Perfect for young chefs who love sweets, creativity, and getting a little messy in the kitchen!
In addition, students will have the opportunity to use their new skills to bless others through simple service projects, such as helping prepare treats for a bake sale or sharing goodies with the community. By the end of the class, students will gain confidence in the kitchen, develop valuable life skills, and discover the joy of baking for both fun and others!
This class is being led by Mrs. Floyd who is an expert baker and owns her own thriving bakery.
