Course Description:
This course introduces students to the fundamentals of drone operation, videography, and professional video editing. Through hands-on assignments, discussions, and creative projects, students will learn about cinematography techniques, flight control, integrated videography skills (smartphone, DSLR, camcorder, and drone), and post-production workflows. Collaboration is a key component—students will communicate and showcase their work, participate in peer critiques, and work together on creative projects.
By the end of this course, students will have developed a professional-level understanding of videography and video editing.
*Students 16 years and older will have the option to prepare for the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate exam in the last weeks of the course.
This class isn’t just about learning videography and editing—it’s about creative expression, teamwork, and storytelling. Students will build confidence, engage in peer learning, and develop skills that will serve them in creative careers or hobbies.
