Course Description:
Using BJU Press’ World History Student Text, 5th Edition, this engaging course guides students in tracing the major patterns of world history, revealing how they point to the ultimate triumph of God’s kingdom. Students will explore key civilizations and movements from Creation and the post-Flood world through ancient Greece and Rome, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and Reformation, the Enlightenment, and global empires in Africa, Asia, and the pre-colonized Americas. In addition, the course covers major events of the modern era, including World War I, World War II, the Cold War, and developments up to the present day. We will travel through time to see how history and the people of the past shaped our world into what it is today all while seeing how God’s hands move.
Upon completion, this class will equal One History Credit on HS Transcript.
