Course Description:

Drama 101, one of the only classes available to homeschoolers in our area, introduces 5th and 6th grade students to the exciting world of theatre and acting through creative storytelling, improvisation, performance, and collaboration. Students will participate in engaging theatre activities and games that build confidence, communication skills, creativity, and stage presence.

Throughout the course, students will explore how stories are developed and brought to life through acting and performance. They will work both independently and with classmates to create characters, interpret stories, and develop original dramatic scenes. Students will also learn the fundamentals of performance while strengthening their imagination, teamwork, and public speaking skills in a fun and encouraging environment.
