Crystall Dalton
About
My name is Mrs. Crystall Dalton, and I hold a BA in Psychology with a concentration in Family and Child Counseling from North Carolina State University. With over 20 years of experience in private schools and local homeschool co-ops, I have dedicated my career to nurturing students’ curiosity and encouraging them to think outside the box.
I’ve had the privilege of teaching students using the Reggio Emilia Approach and Project-Based Learning methodologies before embarking on the journey of homeschooling my own children. Currently, I teach robotics to students at three local homeschool co-ops and have been coaching FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics teams for over 15 years.
FIRST is a world-class program that transcends mere robotics, inspiring youth to pursue their passions while developing both personal and technical skills. My high school FIRST Tech Challenge team, ThunderBolts in Disguise (TBD), has consistently made it to the State Championship every year and is now heading to the World Championship. Additionally, I coach six FIRST Lego League teams, two of which are advancing to the State Championship. My original FIRST Lego League Team, Thunderbolts, reached the World Championship twice during their middle school years.
I am passionate about guiding students through the exhilarating world of robotics and look forward to continuing this journey with more eager minds.
