Course Description:

In this class, Ms. Dalton will teach the basics of art, known as the Elements of Art, which are essential for creating beautiful and meaningful artwork. Students will explore line, shape, texture, form, and space while learning how these elements work together to build strong artistic foundations.
This is a great class for junior high students who have not had much art experience, as well as for students who already love art and want to explore their creativity further. Each semester, students will study and practice the Elements of Art through a variety of hands-on projects. All artwork will be completed in class, and students will begin to fill their sketchbooks with many different types of art throughout the year.
At the end of the year, students will showcase their creativity in an art show and work together on a collaborative group project that will be auctioned to benefit the PHC scholarship fund.
