Course Description:

In this empowering Interior Design class created to teach and inspire the next generation of designers, students will:

-Study the principles and history of design, exploring styles and eras that have shaped interior environments over time.

-Develop effective room layouts and functional space planning.

-Explore the business aspects of interior design, including client communication, project management, and budget allocation.

-Understand material selection and integration of key room elements such as lighting, textiles, plumbing fixtures, flooring, tile, paint, and more.

-Learn how to execute a project from concept to completion, including client research, planning, collaboration with contractors and workrooms, sourcing materials, and applying their critical and creative thinking skills.

-Engage in self-discovery to identify their strengths and interests, and learn about specializations and career opportunities within the interior design industry.
