Course Description:

This class is for students who already have beginner art skills. In this class, high school students will participate in one year of a four year cycle where the Masters of Art throughout time will be studied. We will go in timeline order but our class time will be spent talking about the particular Masters and their art pieces, and then working on a project of our own that is similar to their style.
We will study 3 to 4 Masters a semester. This course is one that can be repeated by students because each year we will study new Master Artists in a four year cycle. If your student loves art, they will not be repeating the same projects each year, and they will continuously grow in their art skills.
The year will end with a group project and art show to benefit the PHC scholarship fund. Mrs. Fox is excited to study the Masters with your students as they create great art pieces of their own!

Artwork will be completed in class only. At home your student will complete the art history portion of the weeks work.

Upon completion, this class will equal One Art Elective Credit AND 1/4 Art History Credit on HS Transcript
