Course Prerequisite:
Student must have successfully completed Algebra 1. Saxon provides a placement test, found HERE. It is not necessary for Saxon to be used for Algebra I, but some geometrical concepts may need to be covered prior to proceeding with Algebra 2.
Course Description:
Provide direction, accountability and encouragement to students as they navigate the Saxon Algebra II course. This integrated Algebra and Geometry course will keep building on the skills learned in Algebra I, giving the student building blocks to continue on to trig or college algebra. Saxon Algebra 2, 3rd Edition topics include geometric functions like angles, perimeters, and proportional segments; negative exponents; quadratic equations; metric conversions; logarithms; and advanced factoring. Trigonometry concepts, statistics, and applications for other subjects, such as physics and chemistry, are also included.
*Saxon Algebra 2 includes a 1/2 credit of Geometry in the course
Upon completion, this class will equal One Math Credit on HS Transcript
