Course Description:

This intensive, 15-module, creation-based science curriculum introduces students to physical science through engaging lessons and formal experiments. Four modules cover the basics of chemistry, including properties and states of matter, atomic structure and the periodic table, chemical bonds, reactions, and energy. Six modules are dedicated to physics and include the study of motion, forces, energy, light, electricity, and magnetism. Students finish out their year learning about Earth science. Mr. Little turns up the intensity of teaching and diving deeper into familiar and unfamiliar scientific concepts readying the students for Biology and other Upper Level science classes in their high school journey.

***IMPORTANT NOTE: MR LITTLE WILL CONTINUE TO USE THE 3rd EDITION APOLOGIA PHYSICAL SCIENCE FOR THIS CLASS IN THE 2024/25 SCHOOL YEAR. PHC will not use the new 4th edition until the 2025/26 school year.

Upon completion, this class will equal One Science Credit on HS Transcript
